Ernie Peña & Family

I hadn't seen Ernie since the fall of 2004, 18 years ago. We visited the Peña family (Ernie & Pamela) twice. First we went on Wednesday, July 20 (2022). We couldn't stay long because we had a commitment to dinner at Deer Park, so we came back on the 24th, the last night we would spend on vacation. That night we had dinner with the Peñas and Ernie taught me how to install the automatic irrigation system. In the video above we see the route between my family's old urbanization in Spokane to the Peñas' house. We discovered that they were "almost" neighbors.

No veía a Ernie desde el otoño del año 2004, hacía 18 años. Visitamos a la familia Peña (Ernie & Pamela) en dos oportunidades. Primero fuimos el miércoles 20 de julio (2022). No pudimos estar mucho tiempo porque teníamos un compromiso para cenar en Deer Park, así que regresamos el 24, última noche que pasaríamos de vacaciones. Esa noche cenamos con los Peña y Ernie me enseñó cómo instalar el sistema automático de irrigación. En el video de arriba vemos el recorrido entre la antigua urbanización de mi familia en Spokane hasta la casa de los Peña. Descubrimos que eran "casi" vecinos.
1st Visit
On our first visit to the Peñas, we recorded a video of the youngest granddaughter, who is quite a party. Our great hostess, Pamela, had made plans for dinner, but – sadly – we hadn't coordinated the visit, so we made plans to have dinner at Deer Park with some of high school's best friends.

En nuestra primera visita a los Peña, le grabamos un video a la nieta más pequeña, quien es toda una fiesta. Nuestra gran anfitriona, Pamela, había hecho planes para cenar, pero - lamentablemente - no habíamos coordinado la visita, así que hicimos planes para cenar en Deer Park con unos de los mejores amigos del high school.

2nd Visit
On the second visit we did stay a long time. Ernie taught me how to install the automatic irrigation system, we had a great Mexican meal for dinner and spent part of the night there, since the next day (July 25), we would have to be at the Spokane airport at 3 in the morning to deliver the rented car in Hertz and pass the security protocol.

En la segunda visita sí nos quedamos mucho tiempo. Ernie me enseñó cómo instalar el sistema automático de irrigación, cenamos una estupenda comida mexicana y pasamos ahí parte de la noche, ya que al día siguiente (25 de julio), tendríamos que estar en el aeropuerto de Spokane a las 3 de la mañana para entregar el carro alquilado en Hertz y pasar el protocolo de seguridad.

The first thing I did when I arrived at our home in Florida was install Ernie's irrigation system. For that I bought materos and flowers. It works wonders, although I had quite a bit of trouble getting all the necessary components mentioned and suggested by Ernie in his video.

Lo primero que hice cuando llegué a nuestro hogar en La Florida, fue instalar el sistema de irrigación de Ernie. Para eso compré materos y flores. Funciona de maravilla, aunque tuve bastantes problemas en conseguir todos los componentes necesarios mencionados y sugeridos por Ernie en su video.
